Mark Gooch was promoted to vice president of business intelligence and process improvement for Life Care Centers of America. The announcement was made by Terry Leonard, senior vice president of Information Technology and chief information officer for Life Care.

“Mark has been a very successful director in IT for more than five years, following an assignment in the Chairman’s office,” Mr.

Leonard said. “His skill and tenacity have resulted in award-winning developments that greatly added value to Life Care’s processes.”

Mr. Gooch earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Southern Adventist University. Prior to joining Life Care in 2008, he held positions of increasing responsibility within the long-term care and financial areas. In recent years, he has leveraged his breadth of education, experience and leadership skills in service to Life Care, Mr. Leonard added.

“Mark already has considerable responsibilities covering content management systems, business intelligence systems, financial systems, portal technologies, human resources systems and analytics,” Mr. Leonard said. “With this promotion, Mark will take on additional initiatives by leading cross-functional process improvement projects. I am personally extremely proud of Mark and all of his accomplishments.”

Mr. Gooch said he is thankful to be associated in IT “with so many talented and hardworking people. It’s encouraging to work alongside others who care about enhancing our resident and associate experiences on a daily basis.”

Information technology successes achieved to date for the company “are a testament to the support we’ve received from the organization,” Mr. Gooch added. “From facility, region, division or corporate, we’ve been fortunate to have the proper resources to accomplish some rather large projects. With this new role, I look forward to expanding our organizational impact in the future.”
