3 Chief Petty Officers Pinned In Ceremony on Saturday

Three chief petty officers were officially pinned during their chief pinning ceremony on Saturday at the downtown YMCA in Chattanooga

The chief petty officer is the highest attainable rank in the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps. Chief petty officers must be in the Sea Cadet program for a minimum of 33 months, attend certain advanced trainings, complete all coursework and pass with a minimum score, and also pass three written tests.  
Chief Sherwood "Drew" Dudley IV of Signal Mountain was one of five original plank owners to start the Signal Mountain Division out of Signal Mountain Middle/High School and is also a junior at Signal Mountain Middle High.
 
Chief Petty Officer Jordan Kent of East Ridge is one of two original plank owners of the Hurricane Division out of East Hamilton Middle/High School and is also a junior at East Ridge Middle/High School.
Chief Petty Officer Hunter Vespie of Lancing, Tn., belongs to the Signal Mountain Division and is in her senior year of high school at the local community college in Lancing.
