John "Ralph" Price, Jr.
John “Ralph” Price, Jr., 68, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, February 25, 2015.
Ralph was born in Chattanooga and was retired from the U.S. Navy and also retired from Transportation Brokerage business after 23 years. He was a graduate of City High School class of 1965. He also served and was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 203, Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America, Temple Baptist Church for 37 years where he served as a teacher, youth leader, deacon and pulpit committee member.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ralph Price, Sr. and Lorene McKee Price.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Susan Jones Price; daughters, Kevan Harriss and fiancé, Todd Smith; granddaughters, Skylar (Dyllin) Hamilton of Chattanooga and America Harriss; great-grandson, Lucas Hamilton; sisters, Margaret (John) Kendall of Lakeview and Jo Ann (Billy) Longshore of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, and Monday, March 2, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, at Temple Baptist Church, 3204 Clio Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37407, with Pastor Terry Trivette officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church or VVA Chapter 203, P.O. Box 23405, Chattanooga, Tn. 37422-3405.
