The Bryan College Hilltop Players will ?present William Shakespeare’s ?The Tempest (adapted) ?as a dessert theatre during February.
Review for The Tempest:
This production is presented in part as the final thesis of the senior theatre class and it follows the tale of Prospero, the wrongfully exiled Duke of Milan, and his daughter. Prospero crashes his enemies ship upon the island where he has been marooned as his half devil servant, Caliban, sets out with a drunk butler to kill Prospero and Prospero’s Daughter falls in love with a prince. Love, drunkenness, magic, punishment, forgiveness and much more are ready for the taking as the story continues in The Tempest.
The show is recommended for ages 12 and up.
Performances will be Feb. 13, 14, 18, 19, 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. at Bryan College in Brock Hall below Rudd Memorial Chapel, 721 Bryan Dr.
Tickets are $11 for adults, $8 for students and the Bryan College community.
