Phebia S. Stalvey, 77, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015 in a local health care facility.

She was a member of the Gospel Way Baptist Church and was retired from Howard Elementary where she worked as a teacher’s aide.  She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Stalvey, parents, Louis Cochran and Allie Bramlett Cochran, sister, Bonnie Cross and brother, James Edward Cochran.

Survivors include her daughter, Carla Stalvey, son, Robert (Susie) Stalvey, grandsons, Michael and Marty Stalvey, great-grandchildren, Ryan, Benji, Jameson, Emmeline, Nicholas and Cassie Stalvey, sister, Linda Smith, brothers, James and Gerald Cochran and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 3, from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Arrangements by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
