Marie Hale
Marie Cummings Hale, 82, of Ringgold, Georgia died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.
A lifelong resident of the Catoosa County area, she was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Hale was a former employee of Shaw Industries where she worked for 10 years and loved to crostitching and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther "Pete" Hale; son, Danny Hale; parents, Mills Benjamin and Maggie Gorto Black Cummings; sisters, Ruby Brown, Gladys Bunch, Carrie Fowler and Edna May; brothers, Clyde Cummings and James Cummings.
She is survived by four children, Nancy (Steve) Bridges of Ringgold, Randy (Gwen) Hale of Ringgold, Gary (Vicki) Hale of Ringgold, and James (Wanda) Hale of Dalton; two sisters, Mary Ruth Fowler of Ringgold, and Pearlie Schmitt of Dalton; six grandchildren, Danny Bridges, Chris Bridges, Angela Clay, Aaron Hale, Kasondra Hale and Holly McIntosh, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 20, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Hoyt Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, from 1-8 p.m., and Friday until funeral time at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
