Carey Crouch, 92, of Chattanooga, died on March 1, 2015.

Carey was born in Madison, MS and lived a full and rewarding life.  He was a boy scout, played different instruments in his high school band and college orchestra. He loved sports and participated in baseball, softball, tennis, hydroplane racing, bowling and golf.  His hobbies were camping, bowling, fishing, hiking, gardening and woodworking.  He loved his family, his church and his country.  He served with the combat engineers in the European theater in World War II and received the Bronze Star along with other medals.  He loved dogs and always had a pet dog, even in the army.  He worked for Sears and 3M.  He was an active member of the Red Bank United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mayo Crouch and Eva May Crouch; and first wife, Gertrude Stevens Crouch.

Carey is survived by his wife, Patricia Elbon Crouch; two daughters, Anita Crouch and Paula (Keith) Curd; grandsons, Calvin (Brittany) Curd, Lewis (Megan) Curd and Perry (Rebecca) Curd; great-grandchildren, David Curd, Charlotte Curd, Isaac Wood and two to be born this year.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Reverend Bruce Galyon officiating.  A private interment will be held Monday in Chattanooga National Cemetery. 

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, and 1-2 p.m. on Saturday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
