2015 Summer Crash Reduction Initiative To Begin Thursday

The Chattanooga Police Department and supporting agencies are raising public awareness concerning the crash and fatality rates in Chattanooga, Hamilton County and the state.

The Chattanooga Police Department along with the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will be working in conjunction beginning on Thursday on the Crash Reduction Initiative (CRI) focused on increased visibility through the city and county. This will be the beginning of the CRI and the initiative will last throughout the summer of 2015.

In 2014 Chattanooga experienced over 14,000 crashes with 25 fatal crashes our continued effort is an attempt to further reduce these statistics.
