  • Thursday, March 26, 2015

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men’s tennis team is back on the court on Saturday, March 28, hosting Furman at Noon.  Action takes place on the UTC Tennis Courts in the middle of the Scenic City campus.

The Mocs are 4-10 overall with wins in each of their last two outings.  UTC is right in the middle of the Southern Conference race with a 1-1 mark in league action.

On the cover this week is senior Pavels Grigorjevs.  He is looking to snap a six-match slide in singles action against the Paladins.

He is 4-5 in spring doubles, including a 1-1 in SoCon matches.

Furman is 3-14 overall and 1-0 in SoCon play.  The Paladins posted a 4-3 win over Mercer last week, snapping a seven-match losing streak.  Ten of Furman’s 13 losses have been against ranked opponents.

The Mocs have lost 11 in a row, and 19 of the last 20, to Furman.  UTC’s last win in the series was a 4-3 victory on April 22, 2005, in the SoCon Tournament in Charleston, S.C.
