Thelma Marie Grissom, 98, of Soddy Daisy died on Friday, March 27, 2015.
She was a member of Burks United Methodist Church, and she loved to garden and plant flowers. She was the last living member of her Hixson High School Class of 1934.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Cheryl Ann Miller, and infant grandson, David Allen Grissom.
Survivors include sons, Charlie Grissom (Martha), and Kenneth Grissom; daughters, Evelyn Austin (Sam), Florence Clark, Lou Ella Potter; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Wilburn Hardyman officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is prior to the funeral on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
