All-District Teams Named In 5-A And 6-A High School Basketball

Several local high school basketball players and coaches were named to the all-district teams from 5-A and 6-A announced today.


In District 5-A, Arts & Sciences’ Lennex Walker and Boyd-Buchanan’s Maddie Wright were named co-players of the year, while the Patriots’ Zach Dragoo received coach of the year honors.

Darius Graves of CSAS was the boys’ player of the year, and coach Mark Dragoo was the boys’ coach of the year.


Also representing Arts & Sciences on the girls’ all-district team were Keturah Billen, Sarah Mc Elvain, and Aizha Little. Joining them from Silverdale Baptist Academy were Megan Lewis, Emily Harkleroad and Rachel Sanders, along with Marissa McCalla from Boyd-Buchanan. Grace Academy’s Jessica Bonner and Copper Basin’s Lauren Bracket were also honored as all-district.


Shunn Moorer, Josh Carter, and Todd Lansden also represented CSAS on the boys’ all-district team, where they were joined by Cade Evans, Cooper Hodge, and Rylie Walker of Boyd-Buchanan. Jordan Delashmitt, Avery Boggess, and Nathan Keylon of Silverdale Baptist were also selected, along with Jared Roberts of Grace Academy and Tanner Wilcox of Copper Basin.


In District 6-A, Van Buren County’s Lakelyn Bouldin was named the girls’ MVP, while Matt Harveston of Marion County took home MVP honors for the boys. Teammate Kane Hale joined him on the all-district team, along with Preston Turner, Lance Burton, Hayden Abbott and Dylan Johnson of Sale Creek. Lookout Valley’s Terry Billingsley, Darrion Robinson and Larry McCullough were also named all-district, along with McKenna Blevins and Chase Frame of South Pittsburg, Allan Wynne of Richard Hardy, Drew Roberts, Caden Mills and Ryan Walling of Van Buren County, and Whitwell’s Logan Burdette.


For the 6-A girls, Carly Cole, Shelene Hitchcock, Allison McCoy and Hannah Prater of Van Buren County were chosen as all-district, as were Elexis Foster, Beth Crownover and Annie Marr of Lookout Valley. Emily Webb and Halley St. Clair of Marion County were also honored, along with Richard Hardy’s Kyla Braden and Jade Case, Whitwell’s Kammy Smith and Kacee Hedrick, Sale Creek’s Abbey Burton, and South Pittsburg’s Jamie Adams.
