How To Kill Small Business And Education In Chattanooga - And Response

  • Thursday, March 5, 2015

I would just like to say that the weathermen of Chattanooga have done something I thought only a union could do. They have undone all the economic good that VW has brought to our area. Their erroneous and hysteric forecasts are in my opinion purposefully done to benefit their corporate owners so viewers and readers flock to their felonious broadcasts and yellow journalism.

This has caused a huge economic drain on our local business owners as people choose to stay home as a result of these hysteric predictions that the world is ending every time the temperature drops below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

I am all for free speech but not when the press is not held to a high standard. Does anyone recall when that was?

By the way, are Mayfield's  and Colonial TV sponsors of the news? Oh, and did I mention that our children are no longer getting an education for nearly a month now due to these ridiculous forecasts? Of course, I am assuming that Rick Smith can read these alleged forecasts (although if locally educated he may have missed so many days of schooling for  "predicted" bad weather that my assumption could  be called into question).

Rick, not even our weathermen, who's batting average would not even allow then into the minor leagues, predicted bad weather for this morning yet school was delayed two hours, before you decided to cancel school for the whole day.  You aren't in Barbados with the former head of Chattanooga State are you?

These “erroneous and hysteric forecasts” originated from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Weather Service division including their “advisories”, “watches”, “warnings” etc.

The forecasts would have been the same irrespective of the messenger. However, you can be proud of honoring the time-old tradition of complaining about the weather while doing nothing about it.
