The Partnership for Families, Children and Adults present the 8th annual Dancing with the Chattanooga Stars, presented by Signature Brokers and News Channel 9 on Saturday, June 20. Celebrity Guests, Karina Smirnoff and Louis Van Amstel from ABC’s Hit Show, Dancing with the Stars, will perform live on the Tivoli Stage. Ms. Smirnoff and Mr. Van Amstel have both been regular instructors and choreographers on the ABC show. They also have competed together nationally and won the United States National Championship in 2000.

Smirnoff is a five-time U.S. National Champion, World Trophy Champion, and Asian Open Champion. She has made her mark for the past eight years as one of the featured dancers on ABC’s hit reality series Dancing with the Stars. Over her career on the show, she has tangoed with many celebrities, including Mario Lopez, Gavin DeGraw and Billy Ray Cyrus. In Season 13, Ms. Smirnoff and her partner, JR Martinez, won first place taking home the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. Her success on the show has made Ms. Smirnoff a household name and a sought after beauty, health, fitness, and fashion icon.
Winner of three World Latin Dance Championships, Mr. Van Amstel has wowed audiences on the dance floor for decades. He is primarily known for his coaching and choreography on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. Over the last fifteen seasons, Mr. Van Amstel has partnered with many celebrities including Priscilla Presley, actress and wife of Elvis Presley. In Season nine, Mr. Van Amstel danced all the way to the finale with actress and reality TV Star, Kelly Osbourne.

The VIP reception is 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Mountain City Club and includes a meet and greet with our Celebrity Guest Stars, Ms. Smirnoff and Mr. Van Amstel. The performance begins at 8 p.m. at the Tivoli Theater with an after party to follow.
