The TVA’s Regional Energy Resource Council will meet next week in Nashville to consider regional energy issues in the Tennessee Valley.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be Monday from 9 a.m.-4:45 p.m. CDT, and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m.-noon CDT, at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel.
The advisory council will join the TVA board of directors in a public session on Monday to hear stakeholder views on TVA’s recently released draft 2015 Integrated Resource Plan and associated Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement.
After panel presentations and discussions, members of the public will have about an hour, from 3:15-4:15 p.m., to comment on the studies to the council and the board. Interested speakers must pre-register at http://www.tva.gov/rerc/speak.htm or sign in by 2:15 p.m. CDT at the door on Monday.
The Regional Energy Resource Council, a 20-member group with representatives from across the Tennessee Valley, advises TVA on the over-arching issues and often competing objectives involved in its energy resource decision-making.
