  • Sunday, April 19, 2015

The Chattanooga Mocs softball team’s series finale against Western Carolina on Sunday has been cancelled due to rain.

The Mocs hammered out 22 hits, and displayed solid pitching while getting help from a few freshman to sweep Saturday’s doubleheader against the Catamounts.

UTC (29-9, 10-1 SoCon) defeated Western Carolina (19-25, 8-6 SoCon), 7-1, in the first game, and won the second game, 8-3.

The Mocs begin a four-game road swing with a trip to Murfreesboro, Tn. to take on the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State at 6 p.m. ET on April 21 at Blue Raider Softball Field.
