Sandra Gunter Slaton, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, April 20, 2015.
Sandra was born on April 20, 1941 in Chattanooga, to the late Seldon and Ruth Hubbard Gunter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph “Slats” Slaton and a sister, Martha Gunter Batson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Starr (Bryan) Pistole, Little Rock, Arkansas and Staci (Beau) Dawkins, Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Slaton (Amber) Dawkins, Dallas, TX, Lauren (Ryk) Moore, Little Rock, AR; Conor (Harley) Pistole, Daphne, AL and Mike (Kyndra) Thomas, Little Rock, AR; great grandchildren, Jhet Ryker Dawkins and Zola Quinn Thomas; brother, Bobby Neil (Hennie) Gunter; sister, Brenda Gunter (Larry) Bruce, both of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service for Sandra will follow at 3 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home chapel with Minister Charles Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
