Dalton State Men's Tennis Is 15th In Next To Last NAIA Coaches Top-25 Poll

Kansas City, Mo. – Buoyed by a 5-0 win over Belhaven University in the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament, the Dalton State men’s tennis team (11-7) has moved up two places in this week’s NAIA Men’s Tennis Coaches Top-25 Poll.

As teams enter the final stretch of the 2014-2015 tennis season, the Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies (12-2) continue on top of the poll, as announced Tuesday by the national office.

The final poll will be released on May 4^th with the national qualifiers for the 2015 NAIA Championships in Mobile, Al.

to also be announced on that same day. Embry-Riddle (Fla.) (18-3) is second. Vanguard (Calif.) (25-1) is in third place and SSAC Champions Auburn Montgomery (19-5) is fourth.

Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) (19-1) is fifth. Xavier (La.) (12-2) is sixth, followed by Northwestern (Oh.) and San Diego Christian (Calif.). The SSAC’s William Carey (Ms.) (13-6) moved up a spot to ninth.

Concordia (Calif.) is now 10^th and Coastal Georgia represents the SSAC at 11^th. Northwood (Fla.) is 12^th, Westmont (Calif.) 13^th, and Bethany (Kan.) is 14th. The Roadrunners moved from 17^th to 15^th.

Graceland (Iowa) is 16^th, McPherson (Kan.) moved up eight places from No. 25 to No. 17. Campbellsville (Ky.) is now 18^th and Belhaven dropped four places from 15^th to their current No. 19.

The remainder of the Top-25 includes Oklahoma Baptist, Cardinal Stritch (Wis.), Reinhardt (Ga.), Lewis-Clark State (Idaho), Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) and SCAD Savannah.

Tennessee Wesleyan, Martin Methodist and Middle Georgia State were among the teams receiving votes.
