Paul Joseph Koonce, 40, of Athens, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Starr Regional Hospital in Athens.
Paul was born on February 22, 1975 in Hammond, IN to the late Harry Koonce. He was a member of the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church in Athens. Paul was a recycling hobbyist who enjoyed taking care of his environment. He also was an avid animal enthusiast and enjoyed working is his yard.
In addition to his father, Paul was also preceded in death by on sister, Michelle Koonce.
Paul is survived by his mother, Judy Pennington Koonce; one brother, Harry Edward Koonce II; one uncle, Chuck Pennington; several aunts; one niece, Amber Jones; two nephews, Harry Koonce III and Jeremiah Paul Koonce; one great-nephew, Isaiah; very close friends Andy Wallace and Krystal Taylor; numerous other extend family members; and a host of special friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later a date.
