Kansas City, Mo. – Julia McQuilken, the 2015 Women’s Golf National Championships individual medalist, headlined a pair of Dalton State Roadrunners that were named All-American Monday by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

The junior from Tampa (Fla.) shot a national championship-best 298 (78-71-75-74) over 72 holes last week at Savannah Quarters Country Club. McQuilken and freshman Caroline Griffin from Sycamore (Ga.) helped the Roadrunners to a tie for second in the program’s first year of fielding women’s golf.

For her efforts, Griffin was named second-team All-American.

She had been the Southern States Athletic Conference Championship individual medalist.
