Teenager Shot On West 38th Street Wednesday Afternoon

A teenager was shot on Wednesday afternoon on West 38th Street.

At approximately 12:52 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to the area of 400 W. 38th Street on reports of a shooting.

While officers were canvassing the area, a 17-year-old black male was found suffering from two gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by HCEMS to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

No suspect information is available at this time.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423 698-2525.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
