Chambliss Center For Center Has Pool Party

  • Thursday, May 21, 2015

In what has become a tradition, Tennessee American Water will help the Chambliss Center for Children splash into summer fun by hosting a pool party at the center’s pool on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Tennessee American Water plans to fill up the pool, at no charge to Chambliss, and provide goodies for the children participating in the agency’s summer camp child care program.

Chambliss Center for Children is a local non-profit organization that has been caring for this community’s children 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year for more than 140 years. Their mission is to preserve family unity and to help prevent the dependency, neglect, abuse and delinquency of children by responding to the community’s child care needs.  They do this by providing affordable, accessible and quality care for over 650 children every day through the Early Childhood Education and Extended Child Care Program, as well as the Residential Program, which has the region’s only group home for children in state custody. In addition to these two programs, the agency also manages five off-site childcare centers and educates and cares for the children of teachers in nine Hamilton County Schools.
