Chattanooga's WTS Media Acquires Indiana Company That Makes CDs, DVDs

  • Saturday, May 30, 2015

WTS Media of Chattanooga has acquired an Indiana company that makes CDs and DVDs.

Optical Disc Solutions Inc. has about 40 employees and has been in business at Richmond, Ind., since 1987.

Owner Fred Austerman told the Palladium-Item that there is less demand for CDs and DVDs due to the rise in popular of online video and audio streaming.

The production lines will be shifted to the Chattanooga plant at 2841 Hickory Valley Road.

That facility has continued to grow since it was started by Tom and Diane Salley in 1977 to serve the blank media needs of local churches.

It now deals in blank CDs, blank DVDs, pre printed CD-Rs and DVD-Rs, jewel boxes, DVD boxes, CD labels, batteries, and CD and DVD packaging.
