Wilburn Leonard “Buck” Hicks, 91, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Sunday, May 31, 2015.
He served our country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the owner and operator of Hick’s Barbeque for many years before retiring in 1979 and was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church, he was also a Mason and a Shriner.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Hicks; sons, Richard (Karen) Hicks and Brad (Donna) Hicks, all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Rick (Trina) Hicks, Tanya (Mike) Deakins and Travis (Rachel) Hicks; great-grandchildren, Rachael and Sarah Deakins and Kersten and Morgan Hicks.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, in the funeral home chapel with ReverendTony Walliser and Reverend Eddie Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
