$62 Million Expansion For Parkridge Medical Center Approved

  • Friday, June 26, 2015

Parkridge Medical Center will soon begin its most significant renovation and modernization in 20 years, as the hospital continues to pursue its mission of delivering high quality healthcare to the communities it serves. With the approval of the Certificate of Need (CON) on Wednesday, the $62-million project, taking place in two phases, will target areas of the hospital providing direct patient care. The changes will improve the patient flow process and allow Parkridge Medical Center to continue providing the highest level of care in a patient friendly environment.

The changes to the facility will include:
· relocating imaging services from the second floor to a newly constructed first floor addition

· updating and expanding the size of the operating rooms

· increasing the number of bays in the post-anesthesia care unit

· adding a new catheterization lab, increasing our total number to five labs, and expanding capacity of the cardiac recovery unit

· updating the registration and front lobby areas.

“We are pleased to have received approval to proceed with the project,” said Darrell Moore, president and CEO of the Parkridge Health System. “The renovations will position Parkridge for continued growth and leverage the latest technology to provide exceptional patient care.”
