  • Tuesday, June 9, 2015

The Walker County Chamber of Commerce will host its “One-Walker” membership luncheon on June 23 at the banquet hall of the Gordon Lee Mansion in Chickamauga. During the luncheon, Chamber Chair Melissa Roden will discuss One-Walker, City Manager Micheal Haney will give the State of the City of Chickamauga Address, Chickamauga City School Superintendent Melody Day will give a system update, and Commissioner Bebe Heiskell will give a brief State of Walker County Address.

One-Walker’s purpose is to “facilitate venue and discussions for the cities, county and Chamber to identify best opportunities for collaboration.”  During her portion of the event, Chair Melissa Roden will discuss how this initiative came about, how the group has operated to date, and how they will continue to work toward a brighter future for Walker County.

Tours of the Gordon Lee Mansion will immediately follow the event and will be provided by the Friends of the Gordon Lee Mansion; tours will last approximately 20 minutes and donations are greatly appreciated.
Parking will be available at the Gordon Lee High School horseshoe. Please note that the event will take place indoors.

The cost to attend is $15 per person, which includes a meal provided by Southern Affairs Catering, Kathy Phillips.

Space is limited and reservations must be made online at www.walkercochamber.com. The deadline to register is Sunday at midnight prior to the event and no walk-ins will be accepted.  Non-Chamber members are required to pay by Visa or MasterCard at the time of registration. Refunds for cancelations will not be accepted after noon on Friday, June 19.
