Larry (Lawrence Edward) Shellenberger, 74 of Ooltewah, Tennessee, died on Sunday, July 26, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Wichita on Sept. 30, 1940.
Larry was preceded by his younger brother, John Shellenberger on March 25, 2015, in Scottsdale, Az, his parents, Mary Kay (2004), Chet Shellenberger (2003), and his infant sister, Mary Theresa in 1939 in Wichita.
Larry is survived by his wife, Montie, children, Edward Follis of St. Louis, Brian Rader, of Harrison, Rhonda (Kevin) Bond of Columbia, SC, Eric (Shannon) Rader of Cheyenne, WY, Jeff (Ann-Marie) Rader, of Charleston, SC; brothers, Thomas (Shelly) and his wife, Stephanie Shellenberger of Raleigh, NC. and Michael Shellenberger of Burson, CA; sisters, Shari Rodden of Whidbey Island, WA; Nicki Lies and her husband, Norman of Scottsdale, AZ, and Kathryn Veal, M.D. of Washington, D.C. Larry is grandfather to Jacob Jordan of Columbia, SC, Reagan Bond of Union, S.C., Jackson Bond of Columbia, SC, Jeremiah Rader of Charleston, SC, Dylan Rader of Dunlap, Tristin Rader, Franchesca Rader, Samantha Rodriguez and Dylan DeBold, all of Cheyenne, WY. These grandchildren were the “light of his life”.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 31, in the funeral home chapel
with Minister Chris Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
