Hawkins, Hazel (Cleveland)

Hazel Hawkins, 73, a resident of Cleveland died on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the family residence.

She was the daughter of the late Jess and Minnie Hyde and was also preceded in death by her first husband Bill Brown, her brothers Roy, Haskell and M.L. Hyde her sisters Rena Trewitt and Marcell Queen. 

Mrs. Hawkins attended the Journey Church and loved to collect crystal, dolls and jewelry. She retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital with over 28 years of service as a supervisor in housekeeping.

Survivors include her son, Tyler Burns and his wife, Mandy, her daughters, Teresa Dobbs and her David, Penny Brown, Tracy Eaton and her husband Freck all of Cleveland, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her sister, Jean Wise and her husband Doug of Cleveland, sister-in-law, Nancy Stamey of Cohutta GA., and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hawkins is also survived by her constant companions, her dogs, Smokey, Bandit and Alley.

A Remembrance of Life Memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Journey Church of South Lee Highway with Pastor Tony Spencer and Pastor Paul Fox officiating. 

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 7 at the church. The Wildwood Ave. of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
