Charles Edward Jones, 87, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, July 29, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Jones was born in Gainesboro, Tn., but had lived in Chattanooga most of his life. He was retired from the State of Tennessee with 27 years of service and was a member of Red Bank Church of Christ. He held memberships with the Fraternal Order of Police Troopers Lodge # 16 and the Retired Troopers Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Clois Henson Jones, four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include his son, Dale (Gail) Jones, Signal Mountain; daughter Donna (Dallas) Rucker, three grandchildren, Adeline Susanna Rucker, Dallas Perryman Rucker and Charles Young Rucker, all of Chattanooga; two nephews, Jackie Henson, Franklin, Tennessee; Steve Henson, Whitehouse, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Steve Lusk, Minister Tommy Stone and Jackie Henson officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park with Steve Henson, Jackie Henson, Craig Brady, Glen Vey, Alex Vey and Billy Hicks serving as pallbearers, and honorary pallbearers will be Dallas and Charles Rucker.

The family will receive friends from 4–8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
