The Coin-Op Arcade Opens Aug. 29 On MLK Boulevard

  • Tuesday, August 11, 2015

After five years of working with the Chattanooga Film Festival and the Mise En Scenesters, CFF Head-Tech Brian Hennen has been able to realize his dream of creating a shrine for yet another form of entertainment, the video game.

The Coin-Op Arcade will offer locals a selection of vintage, new and indie arcade games and pinball, along with a hand selected roster of beers and a food menu with small plate snacks.

The venue is non-smoking so is kid and family appropriate and hopes to host birthday parties and special events for the Chattanooga tech and software developer community, said officials.

The Coin-Op is at 233 East MLK Blvd.

The grand opening will be on Saturday, Aug. 29.

"There is a massive influx of young professionals headed into our city right now,” said owner/operator Mr. Hennen. “Those of us in the Chattanooga arts and entertainment communities have some real responsibilities to make sure our city has a variety of fun options available to them and we very much hope they will embrace us.”
