Roadrunner Coach Kerem Daser addresses the bench on Saturday
Hialeah, Fla. - The Dalton State soccer team escaped hot and humid southern Florida with a 1-1 tie against Florida National University at Goodlet Park.
“It was a tough 110 minutes of soccer” said Roadrunner Coach Kerem Daser. “It was a back and forth match. Both teams had chances.”
Dalton State‘s only score was early in the game. Tomide Adabale’s header came off of an assist from Ibrahima Sissoko.
“Tomide scored a great goal in the air,” said Daser.
“We had some injuries and many young freshmen played. Our fitness is getting better but we did not do enough to win the game.”
Daser gives credit to Florida National. The Conquisidors tied the score with about one minute left in the first half. “They were a very good soccer team and were well organized,” added Daser
The Roadrunners (1-0-1) return to Lakeshore Park Tuesday for the regular season home opener against Milligan College (Tn.) at 6:00 p.m. “We need to regroup, rest up, and get ready for Tuesday,” Daser cautioned.
