James Henry Rosser, 73, of Trion, Georgia, died on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Rosser was born Sept. 27, 1941, in Trion, the son of the late John Henry and Lena Thrasher Rosser.  He attended the Trion Heights Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement, was employed with the Town of Trion.  Mr. Rosser was also a veteran of the United States Army. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Gentry Rosser; and a brother, Trent Rosser.

Mr. Rosser is survived by his son, Jonathan Rosser; daughters, Nancy Adams and Jeannette Laney; brothers, Stan Rosser and Steve Rosser; a sister, Martha Cordle; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a special grandson, Zachary Eaton.

Funeral services for Mr. Rosser will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Vernon Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Stan Rosser, Zachary Rosser, Steve Rosser, Calvin Allen, Nathan Rosser, and Randall Abernathy.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Employees of the Town of Trion and all personal friends.

Mr. Rosser will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29.
