Local Author Releases eBook Set On Cumberland Plateau

Debut author Beth Durham has released a novella set on Tennessee’s Cumberland Plateau in the 1930’s.  The book, Replacing Ann, will be of special interest to fans of historical fiction as well as those who enjoy local history.  

Replacing Ann follows Bill Lewis as he searches for something to replace the happiness he felt with his first wife.  Despite a devoted second wife, eight children and successful businesses, the joy he longs for continues to elude him.

As Bill wanders the Cumberland Plateau and East Tennessee, the reader will immediately recognize many communities and landmarks of Fentress, Cumberland and Putnam counties.
 You will also see into the lives and struggles of early twentieth century Tennesseans

Currently released in digital format only, the book is available to download on Amazon.com.  It will be offered free of charge Sept. 4-8.

About the Author:

A native of Tennessee’s Cumberland Plateau, Beth Durham’s writing draws both characters and plots from the region’s rich oral history.  She now lives near Chattanooga, Tennessee with her husband and children.
