Christopher Douglas Green, 49, of Rossville, Georgia, died on Monday, September 28, 2015 in an area hospital.

Chris was employed with Shaw Industries and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Rossville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Green; grandparents, Oscar and Leola Legg and Violet Heard.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Simcox Green; daughters, Shelby and Adriel Green; mother, Gloria Faye Dillard.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, at Victory Baptist Church with Dr. Ernest Groce, Reverend Stephen Kellogg and Reverend Todd Simcox officiating. Interment will follow in Silverdale Cemetery with Jeremy Nix, Steve Woodward, Dwight Heard, Gary Heard, Justin McCrary, Jody Baxter, Eric Legg and Randy Legg serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 3-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Victory Baptist Church and on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the AWANA Program or Missions Confrence Store Program at Victory Baptist Church, in care of, Angie Baxter, 1013 LaFayette Street Rossville, Ga. 30741.
