Barbara Queen
Barbara Jean Kilgore Queen, of Tunnel Hill and Ringgold, Georgia, died on Monday January 18, 2016.
She was born and raised on Lookout Mountain, living since her marriage in Catoosa County. She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, a homemaker and talented artist who loved her children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Queen, Jr.; her parents, Albert and Alice Kilgore; brother, Troy Kilgore and sister, Betty (Eugene) Henderson Poindexter.
She is survived by sons, Ronnie (Terri) Queen of Tunnel Hill and Ringgold, GA., and Phillip (Tammy) Queen of Adairsville, GA.; daughters, Alysia (Doug) Swanson of Ringgold, GA. and Mentone, AL., Janet (Butch) Gilliam of Rossville, GA., and Janice (James) Gaines of Chickamauga, GA.; two brothers, Clifford (Jewel) Kilgore of Ringgold, GA., and Roy (Sue) Kilgore of Rock Spring, GA., nine grandchildren, Aimee (James) Larsen, Kurt (Nikki) Swanson, of Ringgold, GA., Christina Queen of Lakewood, Colorado, Kyle Queen of Tunnel Hill, GA., Jeremiah (Brittany) Gilliam, Joseph Gaines and Josh Gaines of Chickamauga, GA., Christian and Alexander Queen of Adairsville, GA.; seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Lowell Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 5-9 p.m. and Friday until funeral time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
