Police Say 2 16-Year-Old Ooltewah High Players Held 15-Year-Old Teammate Down While 17-Year-Old Put Pool Cue In His Rectum

Sevier County Juvenile Court on Friday morning released some information in the case in which a 15-year-old Ooltewah High School basketball was allegedly raped by three older teammates.

The court documents say two 16-year-olds held the youth down while a 17-year-old inserted a pool cue into his rectum.

It happened three days before Christmas at a rental cabin at 508 Laurel Mountain Dr. in Gatlinburg.

The team was in Gatlinburg to play in the Smokey Mountain Tournament. The team continued to play games after the incident, but its season has now been canceled.

Supt. Rick Smith says there was "no wrong-doing by any adult" in the case. Information has not been released on where Coach Andre Montgomery and three chaperones were at the time of the attack.

Supt. Smith said Sevier County authorities have put a clamp on any comments on the case. An official of Sevier County Juvenile Court said she knows of no gag order in the case.

The 17-year-old has an Ooltewah address, while the two 16-year-olds are from Chattanooga.

The cabin is owned by Jane Loftus, a resident of Florida.

A hearing in the case is set for Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 8:30 a.m. before Sevier County Juvenile Judge Dwight Stokes.

The teens are represented by attorneys Jeff Stern, Joseph Fanduzz, and Samantha McCammon.

Reporters were allowed to view the documents at Sevier County Juvenile Court, but not copy or film them.
