Mary Elizabeth Jones, 87, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday October 20, 2016 at a local hospital.

She was of the Methodist faith and was retired from 3M in Chattanooga.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel H. Jones; son Herschel Eugene Jones; parents, Jasper and Mary Pittman; sister Faye; and brothers, Dewey, Charles and Audrey.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Richard) Walls of Chattanooga; son, Carlos (Sandra) Jones of Rossville, GA; grandchildren, Christopher (Chrissi) Jones, Kimberly (Charles) Coe of Northport, FL, Richie Walls of Hollywood, CA and Alex (Ashley) Walls of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Tyler Jones of Winchester, VA, Shellsea Coe of Northport, FL and Lainey Claire Walls of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions can be made to City Church, 7122 Lee Hwy, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Oct. 23 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ernie Reno officiating.

Pallbearers for the graveside service will be, Christopher Jones, Richie Walls, Alex Walls, Eddie Pittman, Scottie Pittman and Christopher Bynam.

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Rd.
