Diversity And Inclusion Vice President Speaks At Hamilton Place Rotary Club Event

Ron Harris, VP of Diversity and Inclusion at BCBST, was the featured speaker at this week's Hamilton Place Rotary Club meeting.  

In his role, Mr. Harris provides strategic leadership and counsel for diversity initiatives within the organization that include diversity awareness training recruitment, employee development, and community outreach.  He also ensures adherence to the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action Plan and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Harris is co-founder and a member of the BlueCross Blue Shield Association Diversity Alliance, which connects various BCBS plans throughout the country as a resource to share best practices and address diversity awareness and community outreach. He has been featured in numerous publications local, national and international, such as African American Career World, Edge,and USA Today.  

"Ron engaged us in a lively interactive discussion regarding inclusion, diversity and unconscious bias and how everyone has some sort of unknown bias and how that impacts our communications and relationships with others," officials said.
