There will be a public meeting regarding the City of Chattanooga proposed plan to build what was described as the first-ever in Chattanooga history above-ground, 45-foot stormwater-sewage tower on Hickory Valley Road and the related bridge closure on Standifer Gap Road.
This meeting will be held at Woodland Park Baptist Church on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Public officials will attend and the public is invited to come and investigate how the above ground sewage holding tank long term impacts the surrounding community, said David Coker, who has a nearby farm.
Mr. Coker and his mother, Lill Coker, went before the City Council recently with concerns about the tower planned for the rear of the farm.
One of the concerns was possible odors and another was possible devaluation of property.
