BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee will host its 2016 Veterans Recognition event on Friday, at 1:30 p.m. on Cameron Hill in Chattanooga. The event is designed to honor the company’s 200 employee veterans and all those who served in the armed forces.

This year’s event will feature special guest Lieutenant Commander Tim White, commander of the Navy Operational Support Center in Chattanooga.

On July 16, 2015, he was involved in the response to the terrorist attack on the center. Lt. Cmdr. White has served in numerous deployments and has earned multiple decorations, including commendation and achievement medals from the Navy and Marine Corps, as well as various campaign, unit, and service honors.
