School Board Agenda Does Not Include Vote On Making Dr. Kirk Kelly The Superintendent

  • Monday, November 14, 2016

The County School Board agenda does not include a vote on whether to make Interim Supt. Dr. Kirk Kelly the superintendent.

It was withdrawn after Dr. Kelly said he was a candidate, but felt the board should still go through the full selection process involving a consulting firm.

Several school board members earlier praised Dr. Kelly and indicated they were ready to vote for him for the permanent job.

He took over after Rick Smith left the school system.
