Vandergriff Duals Wrestling Saturday At Hixson

The first high school wrestling tournament of the new season will be held at Hixson on Saturday with the annual Vandergriff Duals.

There are nine teams ready to compete in two pools, with teams in the Black pool battling at Hixson Middle School and teams in the Gold group facing each other in the high school gym.

Teams in the Black pool include Walker Valley, Red Bank, East Ridge, Brainerd and James Clemons while teams in the Gold pool include Chattanooga Christian, East Hamilton, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe and host Hixson.

Action will begin at 10 a.m. with the championship match set for approximately 5 p.m.

Cost of admission is $8 per person with those 10 and under being admitted free.
