Cross, Jesse Franklin "Red"

Jesse Franklin “Red” Cross, 82, of Rossville, Georgia and formerly of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his home.

He was the son of the late Olen and Letha Mae Cross; and was also preceded in death by his wife Mary F. Cross; his son Ronnie L. Cross; his grandson Shannon Scott Cross; great-granddaughter Georgia L. Sutton; a brother Billy RC Cross; and his sister Jimmy Faye Cosme.

Survivors include his children Bobby Cross and his wife Wanda of Cleveland, Ray Cross and his wife Julie, Jan Sutton and her husband Eddie of Rossville and Lorrie O’Berry and her husband Tony of Old Fort; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers Charles Edward Cross and Olen Cross Jr.; his sisters Brenda Farrar all of Cleveland and Nora McNabb Higgins of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held Tuesday, December 20 at 2 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Jackie Swanson officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 19 from 4-8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.

The family requests that donations be made in Mr. Cross’s memory to Parkinsons Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, New York 1509.
