Fall 2016 inductees for Keo-Kio, McCallie School’s preeminent senior leadership organization
Keo-Kio, McCallie School’s preeminent senior leadership organization, welcomed 15 new members from the Class of 2017, inviting the seniors to join the group in a Chapel ceremony.
The group honors students for their leadership, service and loyalty to the school and its abiding principles of honor, truth and duty.
One of the school’s oldest organizations, Keo-Kio is instrumental in planning annual events such as the winter semi-formal dance, Duck Day, community service projects and supporting new campus activities. The group also raises funds and distributes them to events and efforts made by other organizations at the school.

Prior to the induction, Upper School history teacher Duke Richey ’86 — holder of the Sen. Howard H. Baker Jr. ’43 Chair of American History — spoke to the Upper School student body about the importance of standing up for your friends and working together for the betterment of the world.
