Bates, Natalie Henderson (Rocky Face)

Natalie Henderson Bates, 32, of Rocky Face, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Alice Henderson.

She was a member of Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church. She had currently been serving as the Director of Residential Life at Dalton State College. She received her undergraduate degree from Berry College and her Master's Degree from the University of Alabama. Natalie loved her family, Mexican food, naps, "useless t.v.", her dogs, rescuing animals, shopping and good coffee. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and fall was her favorite time of year.

She is survived by her loving husband, Nathan Bates of Rocky Face; two daughters, Addie Kay and Annie Lynn Bates; father, Jim Henderson; mother, April Allen of Dalton; grandparents, Kent and Glenda Allen; very special friends, Hope Wilkins Gilstrap and Jessica Cetro; special cousins, Rachel Wilson, Robin Joiner and Julia Pugh; aunts, Cathy Pugh and her husband Chuck and Jackie Buroughs; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The funeral service to honor the life of Natalie Henderson Bates will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at the Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church Life Center with Rev. Tyson Griffin and Rev. Ryan Joiner officiating. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 5 from 5-9 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Levi Group (adoption group) of Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church.

Funeral arrangements are by Julian Peeples Funeral Home, Rocky Face.
