Justin D. Rogers has been jailed in Hamilton County in a kidnapping incident that happened a week before Christmas 2014.

Rogers, 31, of 1396 Meadowood Dr., faces a charge of aggravated kidnapping and several other counts.

A woman said she ran into Rogers at the Economy Inn on Brainerd Road and agreed to go with him when he said he needed someone to talk to.

She said she noticed they were driving in circles and he was telling her he had stolen some vehicles, including the truck they were in.

The woman began texting a friend and asking Rogers to let her out, but he refused.

When a police car pulled behind the truck Rogers sped away and eventually headed for Dade County, Ga. The woman bailed out of the truck there. She was treated at Erlanger Hospital for her injuries.

She said Rogers had a knife and she was in fear for her life.

Rogers was arrested by Dade County deputies.
