Jeffrey Maddux
Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. announced that Jeffrey Maddux, an attorney in the firm's creditor's rights, litigation, risk management, and education law groups, has become a shareholder.
Mr. Maddux has extensive experience representing creditors, businesses, and individuals in the banking and finance industry. He also represents and advises clients on commercial litigation matters, secured transactions, business bankruptcies, consumer bankruptcies, creditors’ rights, and real estate disputes. He has successfully defended clients in state and federal courts in various jurisdictions, including Tennessee, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Alabama, Florida, and California. He has also represented educational institutions regarding issues such as FERPA, student and parental rights, and Title IX issues.

Mr. Maddux is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association's class of 2016 Leadership Law program, currently serves as past president of the Chattanooga Bar AssociationYoung Lawyers Division, and is the recent recipient of the 2016 Young Lawyers Division Volunteer of the Year award. Mr. Maddux is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Chattanooga and is regularly involved with the United Way, Cherokee Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, and Boyd-Buchanan School.
