Chattanooga FC Hosts Inter-Squad Scrimmage Saturday

Winter, Hartley Back To Lead Chattanooga

  • Monday, May 2, 2016
Chattanooga FC will hold an Inter-squad match Saturday, May 7th, 7:00pm at Finley Stadium. The event is open to the public and free for all who attend.

The 2016 roster is set! The Inter-squad match will be the first chance for fans to see their CFC team in action. After the game, everyone will have the opportunity to get autographs, take photos, and talk with players, coaches, and management about the upcoming season, starting with the first regular season game against the Birmingham Hammers on May 14th.

There are some fan favorites returning this year, and some new exciting talent coming in to Fort Finley this season.
CFC veteran striker Luke Winter is back leading the attack, and Goalkeeper Greg Hartley will be once again bringing his leadership to the defense.

"We're hoping it's going to be a great year," says Bill Elliot, head coach of the Chattanooga FC men's team. "We have a good mix of veterans coming back, and some really great new talent as well. This Inter-squad match  on Saturday will be a valuable test to see how the team will come together, and having fans in attendance always gives us an extra boost."

New faces include Kieran Bywater, a University of Charleston central midfielder who captained the u18 and u21 teams for West Ham United, and was the second highest scorer during the 2013/2014 u18 Barclays Premier League season.

Also joining the team is Danny Reynolds, a defender who played for Reading FC, Oxford Town, and is currently playing for Louisville. Joining him is a familiar face. Two time all American and Danny's older brother Carl previously played for Chattanooga FC and will be back on the pitch to help the team.
