Juvenile Shot And Seriously Injured In East Chattanooga On Tuesday Night

A teen was shot in East Chattanooga on Tuesday night.

Chattanooga Police responded at 6:48 p.m. to the 4200 block of 10th Avenue on a report of a person shot. There police located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police arrived at the location, secured the area, and set up a crime scene. Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where he is being treated for a serious injury. 

Chattanooga Police detained a person of interest near the scene of the shooting. Chattanooga Police Violent Crimes Bureau investigators continue to follow all leads.
