Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Hosts Free Symposium June 4

Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church, located at 7463 Pinewood Dr., will host a free symposium on Saturday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to noon. There will be two presenters.

Dr. L. K. Pendleton, Senior Pastor of St. Mary's Road United Methodist Church, is author of the book "Say You Want to Be Married? No You Don't!" It is a contemplative look at marriage. Dr.Pendleton served as an advisor to Black Women in Theological Leadership at ITC and for women in theological leadership at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.  

The second presenter will be Vincent Watkins, speaking on "For Winners Only".  When losing is not an option, For Winners Only is your guide to winning! He is the founder and CEO of The Watkins Group, Inc. His work experience includes the campaigns of Presidential candidates, U. S. Senators, Congressmen, Fortune 500 companies, Steve Forbes, CNN, Jet, MSNBC, State Departments of Education and other numerous federal and local candidates and agencies.
