Old Southern Express/Plaza Hotel Building Sold For $1.5 Million

The old Southern Express/Plaza Hotel building downtown has been sold for $1.5 million.

The triangular building at Market Street, 10th Street and Georgia Avenue has long been owned by attorney Arvin Reingold, who had his law office there.

Attorney Reingold, who also served as judge in East Ridge, recently suffered health problems and retired.

The sale is from his family trust to 1010 Market Street Group.

At one time it was the offices for the Southern Express Company.

It was also in use as the Plaza Hotel.
